Restore Damaged Teeth While Preserving Healthy Tooth Structure
Designed to repair cavities, chips, and worn teeth, composite fillings restore both function and appearance using tooth-coloured, BPA and BPA derivative-free materials selected with your long-term oral health in mind.

Materials Chosen With Your Health In Mind
Materials With Care
Our composite resin is tooth-coloured, BPA and BPA derivative-free, and designed to bond directly to your natural teeth. Because it becomes part of the remaining tooth structure, treatment can often be completed more conservatively, preserving healthy enamel whenever possible and creating a restoration that feels secure and functions naturally.
Each filling is individually shaped, colour-matched, and polished to blend seamlessly with your smile. The goal isn't simply to repair a cavity, but to restore your tooth in a way that looks natural, feels comfortable, and supports its long-term health.
This philosophy reflects the way we approach every treatment at Junction Family Dental Care: choosing materials and techniques that work with you, preserve what is healthy, and help protect your smile for years to come.
What's Included In A Restoration
X-rays when needed
Digital X-rays may be recommended when additional information is needed to evaluate the extent of decay or damage. They allow us to diagnose concerns that aren’t visible during a visual examination and plan treatment with greater precision.
Tooth-coloured composite
Every filling is carefully colour-matched to blend naturally with your smile. The result is a restoration designed to look discreet, feel comfortable, and preserve the natural appearance of your teeth.
Conservative treatment approach
We evaluate the size and location of the damage so we can treat only what is necessary, preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible while restoring the tooth’s strength and function.
Materials with care
We use BPA and BPA derivative-free composite resin that is carefully selected to support a conscious approach to care. Its tooth-coloured appearance blends naturally with your smile while providing a durable restoration designed to restore both function and aesthetics.
What To Expect During Your Composite Filling
We'll guide you through each step of the procedure, explaining what's happening and making sure you feel comfortable.
Assessment and treatment planning
Every restoration begins with a careful assessment of the tooth. When necessary, X-rays help us understand the extent of the damage so we can plan treatment with precision and preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible.
Comfort and care
If needed, the area will be gently numbed with local anesthetic before treatment begins. We’ll make sure you’re completely comfortable before moving forward, and you can ask for a break at any point during your appointment.
Conservative decay removal
Only the decayed or weakened portion of the tooth is removed, preserving as much healthy enamel as possible while creating a strong foundation for the restoration.
Layered reconstruction
The composite material is carefully placed in thin layers, with each one individually cured using a special light. This gradual process helps create a durable restoration that closely matches the shape and colour of your natural tooth.
Shaping, polishing and bite check
Before your appointment is complete, we’ll polish the restoration, check your bite, and make any small adjustments needed so your tooth feels natural and comfortable when you bite and chew.
Still Have Questions?
We've answered some of the questions patients ask most often about composite fillings and restorative treatment.
We use local anesthesia to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure. Most patients feel little to no discomfort during a composite filling. If you feel anxious about dental treatment, sedation options are also available to help you feel more relaxed.
